Refer Yourself For Support
Home-Start support is completely free, you do not have to pay for any of our support and it is entirely voluntary.
It might be suggested to you by a health visitor, a doctor or another professional but it is entirely up to you if you want to work with Home-Start.
Our staff and volunteers are all very experienced and most are parents themselves. They understand the challenges of family life and have the time and skills to work with you.
If you are a parent and you feel you would like some support please download and complete our self-referral form.
We know that it can be difficult to ask for help when life is challenging. We will talk to you about what you feel you need and what support we may be able to offer. It will be completely up to you if you want to go ahead.

Refer Someone Else
A wide range of different people refer families to us for support. We receive referrals from health visitors, midwives, GPs, social workers and child care practitioners as well as those involved in mental health services, education, early years, housing and the voluntary sector. Receiving support from Home-Start is voluntary and it is entirely up to the family if they want to work with us.

We will set up an initial visit with the family to discuss their needs and we will let you know the outcome.
