“They taught me how to trust and have faith again. Just having that interaction once a week has helped me to be happier for my son. I’m truly grateful for their care and support and treating me with compassion and care with no judgement.”

Home Visiting For Families

 A volunteer to support you

Home-Start volunteers understand how hard it can be to be a parent.  They work alongside parents, usually in their own homes, to help them cope with the stresses and strains of life and make sure they have the skills, confidence and strength they need to nurture their children.

Family Groups

 Group support

Many Home-Starts run specialist groups to provide further support, and social connection, for parents. They may also run groups for bumps and babies so that they can play together, while also giving parents a chance to meet others going through the same kind of experience.
